During Beyoncé Week, IS 474 students explore the law in businesses connected to Beyoncé and Jay-Z. This semester we analyzed issues in fashion, music, and sports. We examined Shein and fast fashion companies copying the designs of others; cover songs and music licensing; and athlete endorsements. Along the way, we interviewed a talented group of experts, including fashion designers, a luxury goods authenticator, a leading fashion law expert, and a musician famous for his cover songs.
